NCVET Recognises CHTI as Dual Certification Body for Hindi Skills

Why in news
The National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) has signed an MoU with the Central Hindi Training Institute (CHTI) to recognise it as an awarding body for dual certification. This enables CHTI to independently assess and certify learners under the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF).
Background
CHTI, under the Department of Official Language, was established to provide in-service training in Hindi language proficiency, Hindi word processing, and Hindi stenography. It now becomes an NCVET-recognised certification body.
Key facts
NCVET and CHTI signed an MoU to recognise CHTI as an NCVET-recognised certification body (AB-Dual).
CHTI can now award, assess, and certify learners in its own or fully managed campuses/training centres.
The first qualification developed by CHTI, 'Fundamentals of Hindi Word Processing and Hindi Stenography', has received NCVET approval.
CHTI is authorised to perform independent assessment and certification under the NSQF.
The initiative aims to enhance linguistic skills, promote digital governance in the official language, and bridge competency gaps in central government institutions, PSUs, nationalised banks, and the general public.
The MoU signing ceremony was chaired by Shri Niranjan Kumar Sudhanshu, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Executive Member of NCVET.
