Union Minister Shri Pralhad Joshi announced that the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit & Expo (BRESE) 2026 will be held in New Delhi from 2-5 November 2026. The summit will be co-located with the 9th session of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Assembly and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH), marking a first-time convergence of three major renewable energy events.
Background
India has been rapidly scaling up its renewable energy capacity, targeting 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. The country is set to cross 300 GW of non-fossil fuel electricity generation capacity soon. BRESE 2026 aims to showcase India's commitment to renewable energy and global sustainable development.

BRESE 2026 will be held from 2-5 November 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
The summit will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India.
BRESE 2026 will bring together three major events: BRESE 2026, the 9th ISA Assembly, and the 4th International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH).
34 countries have been invited for BRESE, while ISA has invited 128 countries for its assembly.
The event will gather renewable energy developers, technology companies, manufacturers, battery storage firms, green hydrogen companies, financial institutions, international organizations, and investors.
India is expected to soon cross 300 GW of non-fossil fuel electricity generation capacity.
The PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana is expected to reach 50 lakh beneficiary households in the coming weeks.
The official logo 'Urja Chakra' and a digital portal and mobile app for BRESE 2026 were launched.
States like Rajasthan (solar), Gujarat (Khavda hybrid park), and others are contributing to India's renewable energy transition through cooperative and competitive federalism.
