Why in news
The government informed Rajya Sabha about the progress of Mission Karmayogi (National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building). Over 1.69 crore users have enrolled and 14.08 crore courses completed. From 2025-26, completion of mandatory courses on iGOT platform is being recorded in Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs).
Background
Mission Karmayogi was approved in September 2020 to shift from a 'rule-based' to a 'role-based' human resource system, aiming to create civil servants with a global outlook rooted in Indian ethos.
