Why in news
The MyGov platform has registered over 6.32 crore citizens as of July 10, 2026, with more than 4.48 crore registrations in the last five years. It has facilitated public consultations on key national initiatives like the National Education Policy 2020, Digital Personal Data Protection Bill 2022, and Union Budget consultations, significantly enhancing citizen engagement in governance.
Background
MyGov was launched by the Government of India as a citizen engagement platform to involve citizens in policy-making. It collaborates with various ministries and departments to gather public views and suggestions on matters of public interest and welfare.
