Poshan Tracker App Launched Under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0

Why in news
The Ministry of Women and Child Development has launched the 'Poshan Tracker' digital application as an ICT-based governance tool under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0. This app is now adopted by all states and UTs, including Gujarat, to monitor and track services at Anganwadi centers. The announcement was made in a press release on 31 July 2026.

Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0 is a government initiative aimed at improving nutritional outcomes for women and children. The Poshan Tracker app is part of this mission, leveraging technology for real-time monitoring of nutrition programs.
Key facts
Poshan Tracker is a digital application launched under Mission Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0.
It serves as an ICT-based governance tool for monitoring and tracking all services at Anganwadi centers (AWCs).
The app has been adopted by all states and Union Territories, including Gujarat.
States have login credentials for digital monitoring of the program.
Data on the number of AWCs, children, and mothers is available on the Poshan Tracker dashboard at https://www.poshantracker.in/statistics.
Under the mission, supplementary nutrition is provided to children (6 months to 6 years), pregnant women, lactating mothers, and adolescent girls as hot cooked meals (HCM) and take-home rations (THR).
Severely acutely malnourished (SAM) children receive additional nutrition as THR.
Frontline workers are empowered with smartphones and data recharge facilities.
Growth monitoring devices (GMDs) like infantometers, stadiometers, and weighing machines are provided at each AWC.
Technology is used for dynamic identification of stunting, malnutrition, and underweight prevalence in children.
