Background
India Mining Week is a biennial event organized by the Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Mines. The previous edition was held in 2024. The event showcases India's mining reforms, including transparent auctions, commercial coal mining, and technology-driven governance.

During the event, the minister launched the online portal for Coal Exchange registration and the 8th tranche of auction of critical and strategic mineral blocks.
The summit aligns with India's vision of an Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat (self-reliant and developed India).
