SmartGreen Aquaculture Pvt Ltd, founded by Shri Aditya Rithvik Narra, a Scheduled Caste entrepreneur, set up India's first advanced RAS-based Rainbow Trout farming facility in Ranga Reddy district, Telangana.
The project has a total water circulation capacity of 36 lakh litres and an annual fish production capacity of 360 tonnes.
The facility includes specialised hatchery and grow-out units with commercial-grade machinery, process-based operations, species-specific engineering, and advanced biosecurity systems.
VCF-SC provided financial assistance of ₹15 crore in 2022 through equity and optionally convertible debentures.
The company has created employment for 25 people, built assets worth ₹40 crore, and achieved a net worth of ₹8 crore.
It has established business relations with international aquaculture experts, hatchery suppliers, equipment providers, and fish markets.
The initiative promotes sustainable aquaculture practices and strengthens India's fish farming ecosystem.
