Bangladesh flagged social media reports that Hasina might address the public on August 5, the anniversary of her ouster in 2024.
Kobir said Bangladesh expects India to ensure Hasina or those linked to banned organisations do not use Indian soil for political activities that could destabilise Bangladesh.
Bangladesh also called on India to prevent individuals associated with the disbanded Awami League from using Indian territory for political activities against Bangladesh.
Indian High Commissioner assured that the concerns would be given due consideration and necessary inquiries would be carried out.
Hasina fled to India on August 5, 2024, following weeks of student-led protests that forced her resignation.
Bangladesh formally sought Hasina's extradition in November 2025, and reiterated the request during Foreign Minister Khalilur Rahman's visit to India in April 2026.
Last month, Hasina said she and exiled Awami League leaders planned to return to Bangladesh voluntarily around December, despite possible arrest.
Bangladesh's International Crimes Tribunal has sentenced Hasina to death for crimes against humanity linked to the 2024 protest crackdown.
