Why in news
The Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation informed Lok Sabha about the implementation of Yuva Sahkar and Swyam Shakti Sahkar Yojana by NCDC. These schemes aim to promote cooperative societies and provide financial access to the poor, including women SHGs.
Background
The schemes are fully funded and supported by the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), a statutory body under the Ministry of Cooperation.

Yuva Sahkar Yojana encourages newly established cooperative societies with innovative ideas.
Swyam Shakti Sahkar Yojana aims to provide affordable, cost-effective, and reliable financial services to the poor, including women Self-Help Groups (SHGs).
Both schemes are implemented by NCDC, a statutory organization under the Ministry of Cooperation.
NCDC provides project-based financing for these schemes.
No cooperative society from Hisar Lok Sabha constituency in Haryana has submitted any proposal under these schemes.
NCDC monitors implementation through 19 regional offices and 9 sub-offices.
Field visits/inspections are conducted periodically to ensure proper monitoring of loan disbursement.
